My philosophy is simple: nourish body and mind with healthy, homemade food. I rarely use supplements unless prescribed by a doctor. Instead, I rely on fruits and vegetables, which worked wonders with my daughters. They eat almost everything. Their favorite? Banana Avocado Berry Smoothie! But then came my son, who refuses most produce. One day he loves blueberries, the next day he will not touch them.

Although I am not a supplement fan, I gave in and bought gummies for him, which of course my daughters also wanted. With three kids, we went through bottles quickly. That is when I started making my own. Now I can control the ingredients with no refined sugar, additives, or artificial sweeteners, just clean and nourishing treats with the benefits of grass-fed gelatin.

Why You'll Like These Ginger Turmeric Gummies

  • These turmeric ginger gummies are a fun and healthy treat for both kids and adults.
  • They are naturally sweetened with honey (or agave syrup if you prefer) and packed with anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting benefits from turmeric and ginger. See more in this study from the National Library of Medicine.
  • I made this batch with lemon, mandarin, and coconut water, but you can easily switch it up with apple juice, grape juice, or blended berries. Whatever flavors you choose, the result is a refreshing, nutrient-packed snack that supports your healthy lifestyle.

Instructions

Turmeric ginger gummies, combine ingredients in a blender.
  1. Combine ginger, turmeric, mandarin oranges, and lemon juice in a blender with ½ cup coconut water.
Turmeric ginger gummies, straining the mixture.
  1. Blend until smooth, then strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove any pulp. At this point, we should have about 1 cup of liquid-if needed, add a little extra coconut water to reach that amount.
Turmeric ginger gummies, bloom the gelatine.
  1. Bloom the Gelatin: Put ¼ cup of the strained liquid into a small bowl. Sprinkle the two tablespoons of gelatin over the liquid and let it bloom for a few minutes.
Turmeric ginger gummies, add honey and heat the mixture.
  1. Combine the remaining strained liquid in a saucepan with two tablespoons of honey. Heat the mixture on low, stirring constantly (do not bring it to a boil).
Turmeric ginger gummies, add the bloomed gelatine to the heated mixture.
  1. Once the liquid is warm, add the bloomed gelatin to the saucepan. Stir vigorously until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Turmeric ginger gummies, molding the gummies.
  1. Pour the mixture into your silicone gummy molds. I'm using these cute little gummy bear molds, but you can use any shape you like. I had enough to make about 70 gummy bears.

Hint

Refrigerate for about 1 hour or until the gummies have set.

Serving

  • Once set, pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • A standard serving size for these turmeric ginger gummies can be 4-6 gummies, depending on their size. Since this batch made 70 gummy bears, this serving size ensures you get a beneficial amount of turmeric, ginger, and gelatin without overdoing it.

Storage

  • Refrigerate: Store the gummies in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Shelf Life: They should stay fresh for about 1-2 weeks.
  • Freezing: If you want to store them longer, you can freeze them. Just ensure they're in an airtight container or freezer bag, and they can last up to 3 months.

Top Tip

These turmeric ginger gummies are gluten-free but not a vegan formula, as they contain grass-fed bovine gelatin.

These gummies are such a treat. I make them often, and both the kids and us adults love sneaking a couple from the fridge. They satisfy a sweet tooth while bringing in the goodness of turmeric and ginger. Highly recommended!
