WHY YOU’LL LOVE THESE TURMERIC GINGER GUMMIES
My philosophy is to nourish your body and mind with healthy, homemade food. I’m not a big fan of dietary supplements unless prescribed by a doctor. If you need more vitamins, I recommend adding more fruits and veggies. This approach worked perfectly for my daughters when they were little—and it still does! There’s hardly a fruit or veggie they won’t eat. I thought I was so lucky… until my son was born. Same parenting and feeding routine, but this kid? He absolutely hates fruits and veggies! Some days, he loves blueberries, and I get so excited! But when I serve them again the next day—nope, suddenly he doesn’t like them anymore. So, even though I’m not a big fan of supplements, I used to buy them for him. Of course, my daughters wanted them, too—they loved the taste and how fun they looked! With three kids, we go through a ton of gummies! So, I decided to start making my own. That way, I can control what goes in them—no additives, refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, or any other artificial ingredients—and they benefit from grass-fed gelatin. Here is why you’ll love this recipe:
- These turmeric ginger gummies are perfect for both kids and adults! Thanks to ginger and turmeric, they have anti-inflammatory properties and offer immune support, making them a great addition to a healthy lifestyle and diet.
- I sweeten them with honey, but you can also use maple or agave syrup. For this batch, I used lemon, mandarin oranges, and coconut water, but you can easily swap in any juice you like—apple juice, grape juice, or even blend in some of your favorite fruits (berries work wonderfully!) Whatever you choose, make sure you maintain the natural flavor.
GINGER TURMERIC GUMMIES INGREDIENTS
- 1-inch (about 7 grams) fresh ginger root peeled and cut into pieces
- 1-inch (about 7 grams) fresh turmeric root peeled and cut into pieces
- 1-2 peeled mandarin oranges
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 cup coconut water (you might need to add little more, so have extra available)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp grass-fed gelatin (unflavored)

HOW TO MAKE TURMERIC GINGER GUMMIES
- Blend the Ingredients
- Combine ginger, turmeric, mandarin oranges, and lemon juice in a blender with ½ cup coconut water.
- Blend until smooth, then strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove any pulp. At this point, we should have about 1 cup of liquid—if needed, add a little extra coconut water to reach that amount.
- Bloom the Gelatin
- Put ¼ cup of the strained liquid into a small bowl.
- Sprinkle the two tablespoons of gelatin over the liquid and let it bloom for a few minutes.
- Sweeten and Heat the Liquid
- Combine the remaining strained liquid in a saucepan with two tablespoons of honey.
- Heat the mixture on low, stirring constantly (do not bring it to a boil).
- Mix in the Gelatin
- Once the liquid is warm, add the bloomed gelatin to the saucepan.
- Stir vigorously until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Mold the Gummies
- Pour the mixture into your silicone gummy molds. I’m using these cute little gummy bear molds, but you can use any shape you like. I had enough to make about 70 gummy bears.
- Refrigerate for about 1 hour or until the gummies have set.
- Serving and Storage
- Once set, pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the fridge.
- A standard serving size for these turmeric ginger gummies can be 4–6 gummies, depending on their size. Since this batch made 70 gummy bears, this serving size ensures you get a beneficial amount of turmeric, ginger, and gelatin without overdoing it.
Quick Tip!
These turmeric ginger gummies are gluten-free but not a vegan formula, as they contain grass-fed bovine gelatin.
WHY USE GRASS-FED GELATINE
I use grass-fed gelatin in this recipe because it is cleaner, more nutrient-dense, and free from antibiotics and hormones. Here are some health benefits:
- Thanks to its high collagen content, it supports healthy joints by promoting cartilage and reducing pain.
- It improves skin elasticity and helps reduce wrinkles due to the collagen.
- Promotes gut health by strengthening the digestive tract.
- Boosts hair and nail growth with amino acids like glycine and proline.
- Improves sleep quality due to glycine’s calming effects.
- Great for muscle health! It aids muscle recovery and helps reduce soreness.
- Supports bone health by maintaining bone density.
- It improves hydration by helping the body retain water.
- Rich in amino acids that are essential for tissue repair and metabolism.
STORAGE SUGGESTIONS
For storing your Turmeric Ginger Gummies, here’s how you can keep them fresh:
- Refrigerate: Store the gummies in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Shelf Life: They should stay fresh for about 1–2 weeks.
- Freezing: If you want to store them longer, you can freeze them. Just ensure they’re in an airtight container or freezer bag, and they can last up to 3 months.
