You will understand why I love going to First Watch restaurants if you are a healthy food enthusiast like me—such a good selection of tasty breakfasts and juices. And the one juice I love the most is their Morning Meditation juice

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Since I don’t go to the First Watch all the time 😏, I figured I could try making it on my own. If you check their website, they list the ingredients in the juice – orange juice, beet juice, fresh lemon juice, agave nectar, ginger, and turmeric

I optimized this recipe to my liking and purposely omitted adding agave nectar since orange juice is already sweet enough. But feel free to adjust the ingredients based on what you’d like.

Ingredients You’ll Need for this First Watch Morning Meditation Juice Copycat

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup orange juice – it is best to use freshly squeezed orange juice – in that case, you’ll need three oranges. But you can also use store-bought orange juice.
  • 1/4 cup beet and lemon juice mixture – you can use store-bought beet and lemon juice or make your own. I’ve included my recipe for the Power Beet Lemon Juice with Ginger as an inspiration.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder – if you prefer fresh ginger, you can use 1/2 tablespoons of fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder – if you like fresh turmeric, you can use 1/4 to 1/2 tablespoons of fresh turmeric

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Place about 1 cup of ice cubes in your serving glass.
  2. Combine the orange juice, grated/minced ginger or ginger powder, and grated turmeric or turmeric powder in a container.
  3. Pour the spiced orange juice over the ice cubes.
  4. Slowly pour 1/4 cup beet lemon juice over the mixture to create a layer.
  5. Garnish with a slice of orange or a twist of lemon for an extra touch.
  6. Note: Add ginger and turmeric powder over ice cubes in a serving glass as a quick twist, pour the orange juice and beet lemon juice, and stir until well blended. You will not have the fancy layered effect, but who cares 😏😀?
  7. Taste the juice and add honey or agave syrup if you desire additional sweetness. Blend again to incorporate.

Helpful Tips and Tricks

  • Feel free to experiment with the ratios of ingredients to suit your taste preferences. You might prefer a bit more orange juice for sweetness or extra ginger for a spicier kick.
  • Make it your own version of a healthy morning sunrise juice! Add ingredients like mint leaves or a splash of pineapple juice for added freshness and complexity.
  • Garnish the glasses with a slice of orange or a twist of lemon for a visually appealing presentation.
  • Use plenty of ice cubes to make the juice refreshing and chilled. It adds a nice element, especially for a morning drink.

In conclusion, you don’t have to make frequent trips to First Watch, and now you can make your juice for a refreshing and nutritious start to your day. Or even make it a part of your daily diet.

Orange juice is a potent source of vitamin C, while turmeric and ginger contain anti-inflammatory compounds that may help reduce inflammation. Beet lemon juice aids in detoxification, supporting liver function and promoting the elimination of toxins from the body.

So, if you need an immune system booster, having this First Watch-inspired Morning Meditation juice drink is a great way to nourish your body. And not to mention how the pretty colors in the glass will lift your spirit in the morning 😏. It is also a great healthy juice for the entire family.
