Instructions
Blend the Ingredients
Combine ginger, turmeric, mandarin oranges, and lemon juice in a blender with ½ cup coconut water.
Blend until smooth, then strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove any pulp. At this point, we should have about 1 cup of liquid—if needed, add a little extra coconut water to reach that amount.
Bloom the Gelatin
Put ¼ cup of the strained liquid into a small bowl.
Sprinkle the two tablespoons of gelatin over the liquid and let it bloom for a few minutes.
Sweeten and Heat the Liquid: Combine the remaining strained liquid in a saucepan with two tablespoons of honey.
Heat the mixture on low, stirring constantly (do not bring it to a boil).
Mix in the Gelatin
Once the liquid is warm, add the bloomed gelatin to the saucepan.
Stir vigorously until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Mold the Gummies
Pour the mixture into your silicone gummy molds.
Refrigerate for about 1 hour or until the gummies have set.
Store
Once set, pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy your homemade, healthy turmeric ginger gummies!
A standard serving size for these turmeric ginger gummies can be 4–6 gummies, depending on their size. Since this batch made 70 gummy bears, this serving size ensures you get a beneficial amount of turmeric, ginger, and gelatin without overdoing it.
Quick note: These turmeric ginger gummies are gluten-free, but they are not vegan formula, as they contain grass-fed bovine gelatin.
