Mandarin-and-Ginger-Juice-Blender-Recipe-1

I always keep mandarin oranges in my pantry because they're easy to peel and perfect for quick snacking - plus, my kids love them!

However, I've had experiences where they tend to spoil quickly. So, if you find an abundance of ripe mandarins and aren't sure what to do, turning them into a healthy and refreshing juice is the perfect solution.

And this mandarin orange juice is made in a blender with fresh ginger root and lemon.

Health Benefits of Mandarin Oranges

If you typically overlook mandarin oranges at the grocery store, it's time to reconsider, as they provide numerous health benefits. Moreover, they serve as an excellent immune booster, particularly in cold weather.

  • Mandarin oranges are rich in vitamin C, which supports immune function and collagen production for healthy skin and helps heal wounds.
  • Loaded with antioxidants like flavonoids, beta-carotene, and vitamin C, mandarin oranges combat free radicals, lowering the risk of chronic diseases and inflammation.
  • With high water content, mandarin oranges can contribute to hydration, supporting overall health and well-being.
  • Furthermore, the potassium found in mandarin oranges assists in maintaining heart health by regulating blood pressure levels.

Ingredients You'll Need In This Easy Mandarin Juice Recipe and Preparation Tips

  • 2 to 3 mandarin oranges, opting for three if they are smaller and two if they are larger.
  • Juice from half a lemon freshly squeezed.
  • One tablespoon of freshly grated ginger.
  • Add ½ to 1 cup of fresh filtered water. Remember that the more water you add, the more diluted the mandarin juice will become.
  • Optional: If you prefer a sweeter mandarin juice, add maple syrup or honey according to your taste preferences.
  • Peel the mandarin oranges and remove any seeds.
  • Place the mandarin slices, lemon juice, grated ginger, and water in a blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Add maple syrup or honey to taste the juice and adjust sweetness if desired.
  • Blend again briefly to incorporate any sweetener added.
  • Pour the juice into glasses and serve immediately over ice if desired.
  • Another alternative is to strain the juice before serving. Simply pass it through a mesh strainer to remove the pulp before pouring it into a glass.
  • Instead of lemon juice, you can use lime juice for a more robust flavor.
  • Please take a look at the recipe card below for the full recipe and nutrient information.

Quick Tip!

If you want to add a twist to your Mandarin & Ginger Juice, try adding a handful of fresh mint leaves for a refreshing kick!
