These easy air fry sweet potato wedges are a healthier take on traditional fried potatoes. These sweet potato wedges are colorful, packed with nutrients, and made even better with air frying. They’re perfect as a perfect snack, a tasty appetizer, a vegetarian main dish, or a side for grilled chicken or salmon.
Using a sharp knife, Peel (optional) and cut the sweet potatoes into evenly sized wedges on a cutting board. Place the wedges in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps reduce excess starch and results in crispier wedges. After soaking, drain the wedges and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Season the Wedges:
In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato wedges with olive oil, salt, sweet paprika, and garlic powder until they are evenly coated.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer (with basket) to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. I used my Ninja Air Fryer.
Cook the Wedges:
Arrange the sweet potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, carefully not to overcrowd them for even cooking. Air fry the wedges for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
Garnish and Serve:
Once cooked, transfer the wedges to a serving plate and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
Enjoy:
Serve these delicious, crispy sweet potato wedges as a snack, a perfect side dish, or an appetizer. Consider serving the sweet potato wedges with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sour cream, ketchup, mayo, ranch dressing, or garlic aioli.

Notes
These are the nutrition facts for 1 serving of this recipe.
The nutrition information provided is an estimate. It will vary based on the specific ingredients used.
Tip 1: If you want extra crispy edges on the sweet potato wedges, lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray before adding the wedges. You can adjust the seasoning to your taste by adding more paprika or garlic powder.
Tip 2: Always preheat your air fryer! This ensures it reaches the right temperature before cooking, helping your wedges cook evenly and turn out perfectly.
Storage and Reheating
Sweet potato wedges are best enjoyed fresh and hot, but proper storage is key to keeping them flavorful if you have leftovers.
How to Store: Let the wedges cool to room temperature before transferring them to an airtight container or resealable plastic bag. They can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
How to Reheat: To restore their crispiness, reheat the wedges in your air fryer for about 5 minutes. Alternatively, place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes, flipping once. Avoid reheating them in the microwave, as it will make them soft instead of crispy.
