Prep Time: 10 Min
1 large sweet potatoes 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp brown sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
Cook Time: 15 Min
Ingredients
– Start by peeling and cubing two large sweet potatoes into bite-sized pieces on a cutting board with a sharp knife. – Transfer the cubes to a large mixing bowl, add water, and soak them for about 30 minutes to remove some starch. You can ignore this part completely; however, this step will ensure the better crispiness of the sweet potatoes. Remove the cubes from the water and dry them with a paper towel. – Then, toss the cubes in a large mixing bowl with 1-2 tablespoons of oil, one teaspoon of brown sugar, and half a teaspoon of cinnamon until they are evenly coated.
– Next, preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees f. The temperature depends on the type of air fryer you have. Mine is Cuisinart Compact, which has a manual temperature set, and what worked for me was the temperature of around 375 degrees f. – Once heated, place the sweet potato cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the air fryer tray halfway to ensure even cooking.
– Remove the sweet potato cubes from the air fryer and sprinkle with more cinnamon powder and fresh parsley if desired. – Serve them as a snack or side dish - they're perfect for any time of day! – For added flavor and nutrition, serve these delicious savory sweet potatoes with your favorite dipping sauce, such as hummus or tzatziki. You can also serve as an easy side dish with roasted chicken, turkey, or pork chops.
